Evidence Points To Dogs Being In America At Least 9,000 Years

Jake, who has a birthday coming up Jan. 31, must plan his party.

Archeologists have found a bone fragment from the 1970s in Texas that shows the earliest domesticated dog in America. http://tinyurl.com/4zpc8ef

Unfortunately, the scientist found the bone in excrement. Human excrement.

It’s a fascinating story the Associated Press is reporting. Humans and dogs have had complex relationships for thousands of years. Just don’t tell Jake, Hope and Windy about early humans’ diet.

About daysofourdogs

I have owned dogs nearly all my life. Many different breeds, mutts, rescues, and foundlings have found their ways into my heart. I have two dachshunds and a miniature schnauzer now. I hate puppy mills and want them wiped from the face of the earth.
