Hope Is At Peace

Long before she was diagnosed with lymphoma, Hope is excited for a walk.

We sent Hope to play on the Rainbow Bridge this morning.

Jake, my husband and I helped her cross over.

Even though it was the right thing to do, we are devastated. She didn’t suffer.

About daysofourdogs

I have owned dogs nearly all my life. Many different breeds, mutts, rescues, and foundlings have found their ways into my heart. I have two dachshunds and a miniature schnauzer now. I hate puppy mills and want them wiped from the face of the earth.

Hope’s legacy lives on. Because of this blog, she is immortal. I hope you can find peace in your hearts. Hope was meant to be with you, and you with her. I wish there were more pet parents in this world like you.

    With respect,
    Mendi

I’m very sorry for your loss.
Hope is now free from the puppy mill demons. Thank you for giving her such a great life. She was a very lucky girl.
    Sincerely,
    Tracie

I’m sorry for your loss. But at least Hope is pan free

  4. Kelly,

I’m so sorry. I just checked in on your blog today and found your announcement. I don’t know how you are coping, but I’m available to guest-lecture, guest-run your department meetings, whatever. I was unable to really work for weeks after losing Henry. I hope you have no regrets because you provided the best, most compassionate and realistic care for Hope that I could imagine. It always seems to me that offers to help feel very shallow in these circumstances, but I’d love to see you at some point.

    Hillary
